Wow you are on a lot of meds.

I was on Depakote for seizure disorder and I gained about 80 lbs on it.

I’ve been on quetiapine/seroquel for depression & sleep for a few years and I’ve gained so much. Even at a stage where I was trying to lose weight, it took soo much willpower because Q makes you want to eat everything in sight. Much happier just giving into that urge lol.

I was on mirtazapine before. which was somehow even worse! Much worse! It makes you almost frantic in your quest to eat everything you can. It’s so hard to stop eating. I’m on other things but they don’t have an effect on weight/hunger.

I’m convinced that the only way I’m going to gain weight is with help from medication

I was on seroquel which turned me into a total pig. My dr just switched me to zyprexa and said I should expect some weight gain.

With zyprexa you must expect a lot of weight gain. I am a psychiatrist and is the drug that causes more weigth gain of all. Some people doesn't have that side effect l, but are very few.

I was very surprised he put me on zyprexa since he has spoken to me about needing to lose weight. He is forcing me to come in for weekly check-ins and has signed me up for weight watchers.

I was just prescribed mirtazapine for appetite as needed. It made me pretty tired so I don’t know if I want to continue. Does it ever stop?

I don't think so. One of the most common uses of mirtazapine is against insomnia so it s supposed to make you sleep and many times tired during day because you need to sleep more.

I was on Abilify for about 2 months and gained about 25 pounds. Certainly was enough that the wife commented on my weight gain. Being a closet gainer I was thrilled thinking how fat I'd get if I stayed on it. Problem was the other sexual side effects sort of made it pointless really.

Ugh great. I need it because I’m not eating because I’m finishing school and don’t eat when I’m stressed. But I can’t finish school well if I’m so tired. I just want to eat and gain weight!
